How To Return A Gearstar Performance Transmissions Core

Gearstar Performance Transmissions Core Return Policy
To help us keep our inventory flowing and ensure compatibility, please follow the guidelines below when
returning a transmission core:


Return Shipping Responsibility
All return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility.
We strongly recommend using a trackable and insured shipping method to protect against loss
or damage in transit.
If a return bill of lading is requested and issued by Gearstar Performance Transmissions the
complete cost will be deducted from the refund. All shipments need to be picked up or dropped
to a commercial address or a FedEx terminal.
If you are returning a core that you have purchased from one of our dealers you must include a
copy of the invoice of purchase, as well as the copy of the ID tag that was secured on the bell
housing. Please include your name, address, phone number so we can contact you if we have any
questions about the core or refund.

Style & Compatibility Requirements
The returned core must match the exact style of the automatic transmission originally
purchased.
Example: If you purchased a 700R4 2wd you would need to send us a 1987+ auxiliary style
valve body 700r4 2wd.
Mismatched cores (e.g., wrong model, year, or drivetrain configuration) will not be accepted and
may incur additional charges or delay processing.


Condition & Packaging
Cores should be reasonably clean, free from excessive dirt, oil, or damage.
Cores should be free from any defects such as cracks, broken tabs, or modifications such as cut
tabs etc.
Please drain all fluids prior to shipping and securely package the item to avoid damage during
return.
Be sure to include any required documentation provided with your order.
Cores must be in a rebuildable condition.
